Barkers In Balance is a dog training business run by invested and experienced dog trainers led by Julie Tolliday. Our pup Bella attended the puppy training program and we were highly impressed with the knowledge and understanding Julie and her team displayed. They were supportive, encouraging and very professional. We still use the strategies BIB provided us with because they are highly effective. We would recommend this business to anyone who owns a dog and wants their dog to reach their potential.

**Unprofessional and Abusive Behavior** I had a deeply troubling experience with Julie who runs this dog training business. While my family was minding our own business behind our gate, Julie approached us and began verbally yelling abuse to us about our beautiful little cavoodle barking ( behind our fence) at her 3 dogs walking past who lives across the road, All the neighbours heard and witnessed this appalling behaviour by a so-called dog lover. Most of the neighbours have had altercations with her also Her aggressive and unprofessional behavior left us shocked and uncomfortable. When I approached her she escalated the situation unnecessarily, which is the opposite of what you'd expect from someone who is supposed to be skilled in handling dogs-and people. She wanted me every time that she comes outside with her dogs that she wants my dog put away, so her dogs don't pull her towards our fence. Maybe it's time for a change of career

We took our new excited puppy Arlo to the first session and he reacted to seeing a poodle type breed who was also attending the session. Our dog never made contact with this pup as I had him on a lead. My husband was instructed to take Arlo into a separate room in the dark away from the others. That’s how we spent our first session. We were made to feel humiliated and I don’t believe putting a puppy in a seperate room away from the others was the right thing to do. Both my husband and i were so upset and disheartened that we didn’t continue his training if we were to be in a room away from the instructor and other dogs. We are now looking for a training program for our new profoundly deaf pup which we hope to give a confident happy life around other dogs and will be going elsewhere.

Just took my puppy to Barkers in Balance Puppy School. I found it very informative and helpful . I would reccomend it to all dog owners. We all have a responsibility to give our dogs the best life and training is a big part of that , to help them understand the world. I will be going back to the next course to keep my puppy and myself on track.
