Great Fish and Chips. The original owners eventually sold the business and I can say based on my experience in February 2025 that the service and quality of seafood has not changed a bit! Still 5 stars! I am usually at Malua Bay but the drive to Bernies is well worth it!

There's no EFTPOS here, but there's an ATM inside. I suggest allowing plenty of time when going here since they're a bit slow in preparation, but the food is great.

The batter is light and crispy while the chips were homemade. The fish and chips here are great!

The only issue here is that there are no EFTPOS facilities. You can go to the store and withdraw cash from the ATM machine. The services were great and they were quite quick.

The fish and chips and calamari were delicious. We waited for about 30 minutes during a very busy public holiday and it was worth every minute.

You cannot go wrong here for lunchtime! The batter is just right, plus the fish is delicious! Even for takeaway, the fish and chips are always hot, fresh and tasty!

My friends and I often visit Berny's both in Batehaven and in Canberra. They have really friendly service. I always order the grilled fish and chips that are tasty and fresh.

I always get the Fisherman's Basket for one every time I go here. They are efficient and well-organised. They have the best fish and chips in Batemans Bay and the surrounding area!

The staff were friendly and the service was quick. The fish tasted great and fresh. This is one of the few places in the area where you can get prawn cutlets fresh and made on site.
