Bluewater Grill

Always makes a superb meal every time we come here

Came here on the busy Oct long weekend, and was very surprised by the quality and flavours of the food and the selection of wine. Was not what I would expect it from a club Restaurant. I ordered the Chicken Supreme- it was delicious. Had a great evening would definitely return. Highly recommend if you are in Nelson Bay, especially for families.

Bluewater Grill is situated in the new Nelson bay Golf Club recently rebuilt after a devastating fire just two years ago. The restaurant overlooks the finishing greens (ask for a window seat). Meals are good club quality. The service is fast and efficient.

There are beautiful views of the fairway and you may have the chance of seeing the resident kangaroos lazing around. The Blue Water Grill offers lunch specials (I think they change monthly) Usually, in these types of Bistros I steer away from anything with the word Asian because I find they are not really authentic but this time I decided to bite the bullet and try the Panko Prawns and Crispy Asian Salad. The prawns were cooked to absolute perfection and were so flavoursome. While the salad itself was not strictly "Asian", it did lack the requisite herbs like coriander and basil, the dressing was still very good and made up for the lack of herbs.

only new to the area, and always wanted to visit the restaurant at the Golf Club, this was an opportunity. I had visited on Mothers Day for Lunch at the Blue Water Grill. Absolutely beautiful food. Well done to the Chefs. Thankyou Pat Watson
