“Proudly Indigenous Owned and Operated” Our History BMR Crane Hire was established in 1996 by Brian and Dorothy Ramsamy. Earning a reputation as a “Can Do” operator, Brian soon proved himself as a trusted local supplier of crane hire services in the Mackay and surrounding districts. Fast forward almost 30 years and it’s time for Brian to slowly transition into a well-deserved retirement. Race Ford (Brian’s nephew) and his wife Hayley purchased BMR Crane Hire in 2023. Race is no newcomer to the crane industry with his career also starting in 1996 performing steel erection and various crane projects as a local Mackay teenager. After coming of age, he obtained his crane and rigging tickets and began his career in taxi crane hire. Race has held numerous positions, advancing in his career in both field and office-based roles. To complement his field-based roles, Race has acquired: • Diploma of Management • Cert IV in Frontline Management • Cert IV in Engineering • ICAM training • S1, S2, S3 & G2 Supervisor • Cert III in Demolition (expired). • First Aid and Mental Health First Aid
