Dear Brett, I should like to thank you and all your staff for looking after Tashi Delek, and us, in such an excellent way during our six month stay in Bundaberg. From our arrival in late October to our somewhat delayed departure in May we have found everyone smiling, kind and willing to go out of their way to assist us. In everything she has done for us Polly has been efficient, caring and wonderfully helpful. Mitch, Tristan and Lloyd have been a pleasure to work with, all extremely professional and their attention to detail in looking after the yacht has been faultless. The facilities and services are first class and we have thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Gary Dann from Marine Torque and Harley from Marine Services have been superb. We will sing your praises to our cruising friends and to those crossing the Pacific this year. We hope the Hardstand Area and the Marina continue to thrive as they certainly deserves to do. Sadly, after repeat visits to the City of Bundaberg, I have to finally say that the hospitality of the Marina in particular it's manager is totally pathetic. He has not once been helpful. I have stayed at the marina on 2 occasions and had dealings with them on 3 other, he seems to have no interest in helping cruising yachts even though his business and the community at large benefit tremendously from our visits with lots of money spent. I personally bring at least $1000 per week to the local economy per visit and have spent up to over $50,000 over a period of several months on a previous visit. Does he not understand that we speak to other cruising yachties, and vibe out there is give Bundaberg a miss unless you are desperate.... desperate for what you must ask, made to feel regretful for visiting this marina. This fool needs to travel overseas and see how people welcome their guests, how they even go out of their way to assist them, which only benefits both. On the positive side, there is a new marina planned for Bundaberg, maybe then, with some competition the owners may be forced to replace their manager with a people friendly manager!
