About the director - Kristen Calle: I am a Sunshine Coast based building designer, interior designer, draftsperson and CNC programmer with over 10 years experience in the commercial building, industrial design and furniture industries. I have a driving passion for creative expression in many forms on many mediums. All of my pastimes involve the marriage of science and creativity. For me, the two are inseparable. In my experience, the ignorance of one will cause a compromise of the other. By using the latest software available, and unorthodox techniques we can provide you with a striking and original still, animated or interactive presentation. Passive Design: Sustainable building design should encompasses more than a 'green' material selection. We place a strong focus on orientating the building to harness desired seasonal breezes, to maximise ventilation and to minimise summer sun penetration. Using the water that falls upon the site, by capturing the energy from the sun and using natural insulation, year round comfort can be achieved without the need for refrigerative air conditioning. As a core principle, we combine these design techniques with advances in 'green' building material manufacture to create a truly sustainable, and passive design solution.
