Not impressed with the service. Took brother-in-law there to get new sullage hose. Asked for 5 metres. Both of us querried what he gave us for length..he said definately 5 metres. Got back to Nundle and measured it to find it was only 3.4metres.

HI Ann, I doubt this is a real review, I do not sell sullage hose by the metre.

Was camped at Nundle (about 50 km out of Tamworth) in my motor home when about to leave in the morning, pulled down my heavy pop top roof and it went skewiff or a bit sideways. I was not able to clip it down as it was not aligned. What to do as I can't travel far as is? I looked online for the nearest caravan repairer and contacted Capital Caravans (& Repairs), Moonbi, 20 km out of Tamworth. Come around and we'll have a look. I arrived about 10.00am, Clint started to work on it soon after even though he was loaded up with other jobs. He replaced the rear and front scissor lifts that had broken, readjusted the side ones also and I was away by near midday all fixed for quite a modest fee (plus info on getting air lifts installed). A great attitude from Clint and his staff plus their expertise deserves a high recommendation. Well done and thank you.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I service my caravan, including brakes/ bearings/ lights/ chassis inspection?

Depending on how much distance has been travelled every 10,000 km or once per year is a good service interval, it is always less expensive to do preventative maintenance than to repair the damage due to lack of maintenance causes. Registration time is a good opportunity to keep the track of when to do servicing.

Should I fix the leaks with common silicone from the hardware store?

No, most caravan exterior components are made of aluminium or plastic, these components require some special attention when looking to fix leaks. They are also made to be sealed without unsightly beads of sealant around their perimeters. If you have a leak problem, it is best to seek professional help to fix it or advice on products to use if you can carry out the required repair.
