The folks who run this place should be proud! This place is a gold mine if you are remotely interested in the history of the far north, particularly about infrastructure. Well worth the visit when driving through Cardwell. They have some neat setups with beautiful old equipment.

Thanks to Cardwell for restoring this building, and creating such a pleasant surprise on the side of the highway. Cardwell Bush Telegraph Heritage Centre is an absolutely wonderful place to stop for a little while and learn about the history of Northern Queensland.
