We entrusted the tenancy management of our home in Tin Can Bay to Century 21, whose head office is located in Gympie, Qld. The tenancy was from July 2021 to May 2022. We attended the property Feb 2022 and found that, without approval, the tenants had fixed items into various parts of the home. We asked that the agent ensure the damage from the unapproved works be fixed by exit. After the exit inspection I received an email from the staff member who conducted the exit inspection stating that 'The property has been left as per Entry Condition Report. (the holes above the door have been rectified)'. When we accessed the property, this was clearly not the case, there were numerous areas in the property that were not 'as per the entry condition report'. The Exit Condition Report, contained 60 images, was unsigned, did not contain the tenants details, did not record the end of tenancy water meter reading, and did not detail the difference in condition of our home at the end of the tenancy.
