Coast-Tech TV Repair

I had a problem with an older Samsung TV and rang for some assistance. The fellow I spoke to (Edwin?) was great - he asked for details about what I had encountered and then ran through a list of checks and ways to try to rectify the issue. After further discussion, he stated that it was likely to be a main board problem and that the board in my particular TV was quite complex and a replacement board was unlikely to be found. He did not try to have me bring the TV in. I was really impressed that he was so generous and open in sharing his knowledge and experience, explaining a bit of history of my particular TV and how to fix some of the issues encountered with that model. He did not try and 'sell' his repair service at all, in fact he made it clear that my particular issue was unlikely to be repairable if the tips he suggested were not effective. I ended the phone call with armed with one last method to try and resolve the issue at no cost.

Edwin came out, worked out what i needed to get Digital TV on my new house and installed straight away. Perfect TV reception, which in Valdora is never easy. Couldnt have been happier and at a fair proice

Edwin is an absolute champion! I had no TV reception and initially had another technician out who told me the aerial needed to be replaced (and quoted $1360 to replace). Edwin came out and found the problem was not the aerial at all - the outside TV cable had eroded. For under $300 Edwin had the TV channels all back and even left me a remote he had as my Sony remote had corroded batteries (previously had TV connected through PlayStation remote). I highly recommend Edwin, don’t hesitate to contact him - he knows his stuff and was really reasonably priced. Wouldn’t use anyone else. Thank you so much Edwin!

What a brilliant man! When I thought I would have to get a new tv he worked out that I could use the DVD remote to turn on the tv and thus discover it was the remote and not the tv. Saved heaps and now he is my tv man!!! Thanks heaps.
