About Creative Glass Guild of Queensland
The Creative Glass Guild of Queensland was founded in 1979 as a community-based organisation for people wishing to learn traditional and contemporary glass art techniques. We operate in the tradition of the medieval craft Guilds, setting and maintaining high standards for the quality and integrity of our training and the goods and services we provide. We are a ‘not-for-profit’ organisation run on a membership basis and managed by volunteers. We run courses and workshops in Beadmaking, Fusing and Slumping, Contemporary and Traditional Glass Painting & Decorating, Leadlight & Copperfoiling, Mosaics, and Sand Engraving. We are proud to be the only place in Australia offering such a wide range of classes under one roof.
