I cannot recommend Greg Wells and his amazing Custom Built team highly enough. As a pair of novice home builder/renovators, Greg was our salvation, creating order out of chaos, refining and consolidating our ideas and driving our vision forward. He coordinated and oversaw every detail and finish that went into our home as if it were his own.   Ours is a steep and challenging block but Greg was able to come up with creative and innovative solutions . . . all the time being mindful of our budget whilst delivering quality workmanship and materials. At all stages of our renovation, we were confident that we had a reliable, friendly and supportive team working with us.

We are new home owners in the Bay and were introduced to Greg by our real estate agent - how lucky were we. What initially began as a small renovation quickly evolved into a much larger one that required plumbing, plastering, painting, carpentry, electrical, floor restoration & structural engineers to name but a few. What was most impressive was the quality of tradespeople that Greg brought to site. He has very high standards and ensures that all of his team maintain the highest level of workmanship. Greg was always available to discuss any issues, provide solutions and manage our project. Just want to say how happy I am with the job done by Greg and all the guys from Custom Built on my new clinic extension at Salamander Bay Veterinary Clinic. Even though it was a bit more of a complicated build than average, everything flowed smoothly. The build was on-time and on budget and the guys were very flexible in fitting around our clinic work schedule, often working weekends or out of hours to allow us to keep operating. The quality of the finished product is excellent as well. I could not recommend them more highly.

What started as a renovation, soon turned into a full knock down and rebuild. We made change after change and Greg took them all onboard, supporting and facilitating our every decision. Greg and his amazing staff saw our vision and worked closely with us to ensure we had a great building experience, and delivered a product we could have only dreamed of. Greg’s standard of work is absolute perfection. His expectations of himself, his staff, his products and the outcome are second to none. There was nothing that was ever ‘too hard’ or ‘unachievable’. Greg's team just completed an extension on our home at Fingal Bay. It was a great experience from the start to the finish and Greg even had a hand in helping us finalise some of the design details. The Custom Built tradesmen are thorough, hard working, professional and courteous. The extension added a bedroom, bathroom, three wardrobes and a work station for my business. The extension has tied in perfectly and looks as though it has always been part of the original house. We couldn't recommend Custom Built more highly. Greg and Aaron (Project Manager) kept their eye on the build progress in order to ensure a quality finish. We are very glad we chose Custom Built.

The concept I envisioned for my dream home was very unique and specific. Other local building companies had compromised my style and needs in their quotes and couldn't bring to life exactly what I wanted in my home. The best thing I did was contacted Greg from Custom Built. From the word go I was overwhelmed with the service he offered. From the first visit, Greg reassured me that he and his team could produce the specific concept I wanted for my dream home. I couldn't be happier with the results that Greg and his boys have delivered. Everything, from start to finish, was handled superbly. He delivered and exceeded my expectations with an amazing quality of work. Being a building designer from Newcastle I was hesitant to use a builder with a young team and mainly worked in Nelson Bay. I should never have had this thought as Greg and his teams eye for detail and passion for the job is second to none. I would highly recommend him for any sized job.
