About Darwin Aviation Museum
The only one of its kind in the southern hemisphere, the Darwin Aviation Museum is only 8km from the city centre and houses a number of interesting and unique piece of aviation history. Situated in a repurposed B52 bomber hangar, visitors can view exhibits such as a Japanese Zero fighter shot down in 1942 and the remains of a RAAF Mirage jet that crashed nearby. We're open every day of the week, so come in and see the wonders of Australian aircraft.
