How Much Does a Website Cost?

There is no one single answer to this question. Website designs are quoted based on the needs of each individual project. Every business is unique and has different goals. I design and develop custom websites specifically with your business in mind. I will ask a lot of questions, assess your needs, and give you a quote based on that assessment.

How Long Will It Take To Get a New Website Built?

Accepted Answer

I aim for a six to eight week turnaround time on average, however each customer sets the pace for their project. The speed of completion is affected by how much input you can provide during the early phases, your availability for feedback, and how soon the content is ready. The complexity of the site may also be a factor; more complicated sites will take longer to develop.

Will My Website Be Mobile Friendly?

Accepted Answer

Yes, all websites will be developed mobile-first in mind. It’s a no-brainer with over 80% of Internet users using mobile devices to surf the web.

Do You Do SEO for My Website When You Build It?

Accepted Answer

Yes, all websites will be developed with SEO best practices in mind. Each page will include optimised headings, images, meta data and content optimisation at a minimum. Your new website will also be sent to Google and Bing for indexing when live. Further SEO optimisation requires a comprehensive SEO strategy and at least a six month commitment.

Who Writes the Content for My Website? Can You Help With That?

Accepted Answer

Since you are the expert on your business, it’s usually best if it comes from you. I will then review it from readability and SEO perspective and make tweaks as necessary. When you sign up for a website with me, I will provide you with a comprehensive Website Content Writing Workbook that will make writing your website copy a breeze.

Can You Design My Logo and Branding?

Accepted Answer

Your branding will be one of the foundations of your new website. If you don’t have a logo and/or a brand kit, I will bring on board a brand specialist who will develop these with you. If you already have a logo, but no brand kit, I’ll work with you to get it just right before we start.

Question 7

How Much Input Will I Have About the Process?

Accepted Answer

You will have lots of input -it is crucial to this process. I will start with a lot of questions about your business, your target audience, your needs, likes and your wants. Working with you will help me develop the right look and functionality. You will be providing feedback during the various phases of the project and I will rely on your honest feedback.

When Do I Pay? Do You Offer a Payment Plan?

Accepted Answer

booking fee. 25% is due midway through the project or after 30 days, whichever comes first. The remaining 25% is due upon finalisation and prior to going live, or after 60 days, whichever comes first. If you require a payment plan, I’ll be happy to arrange a payment schedule that suits your needs.

Will I Be Able to Update the Site Myself When It’s Finished or Will You Maintain My Site for Me?

It is one of my fundamental values to empower business owners to know how their website functions and how to make updates to it when needed. This is why I will run you through live website training at the end of the project. You will also receive a copy of the recorded session so you can refer back to it in the future.

What if I Need Help on My Site Down the Road?

I am only an email away! I am here to help you as much or as little as you need, and won’t disappear once the site is launched. All website projects also include an hour marketing session to get you on the right track once the website is live! I also offer website maintenance packages where I take care of all things from backups to updates and security.
