About Discovery Cafe

Discovery Café opened in 2014 and offers CSIRO staff and guests delicious food and exceptional coffee with a touch of personality. Situated in the Discovery Centre on the base of Black Mountain opposite ANU, it is a great place to relax and enjoy the glasshouse like feel of the building with views across Acton and up to Mount Ainslie. Open for breakfast from 7:30 to 10:30am and serving lunch from 11am to 2pm there are options to suit everyone. From our gourmet breakfast and lunch menus to hot dishes in the bain marie and of course options for those on the run. Discovery Café also provides CATERING for conferences, meetings and events on the CSIRO Black Mountain site.

The food at Discovery Cafe CSIRO is great.

Discovery Cafe CSIRO has a nice outlook through the trees. The coffee here is good, and there are some good food choices, too. They get pretty busy around morning tea and lunchtimes.
