ELMDS is committed to providing sustainable, quality care options and services for cognitively impaired people and their carers. For the cognitively impaired person, ELMDS offers centre-based care in a home-like, secure environment with the aim of maintaining social and self-care skills while promoting an individual sense of well-being. For the primary caregiver, regular and emergency periods of respite are provided. Skilled staff are available to listen and respond to any concerns and will refer to other agencies as needed. Our goal is to support the carer, enabling persons with a cognitive impairment to continue residing in their familiar home environment. ELMDS will continue to explore possibilities and grasp opportunities that have the potential to enhance the service provided.
