Ecodownunder down and feather bedding is ethically sourced and is made from a by product of the Australian food industry. No farms raise birds purely for their feathers. The down and feather would become a waste material if not used for bedding and clothing. By using a waste product from the food industry, it avoids the manufacture of synthetic materials which have a higher carbon footprint.

The Japara Cotton used does NOT contain any wax - bees wax or paraffin wax. Our Makers use a tightly woven weave that is pure cotton to ensure that no cotton or wool leaches from the quilt. This is still referred to as Japara Cotton.
