Ertha Design is a Sunshine Coast architecture practice specialising in thoughtful, climate-responsive homes. Led by registered architect and Certified Passive House Designer Mellissa Aves, the studio designs energy-efficient new homes, renovations and sustainable residential projects tailored to each site and lifestyle. With over 20 years of experience in residential architecture, Ertha Design focuses on passive design, natural light and healthy living environments to create homes that are comfortable, enduring and connected to their surroundings. Based on the Sunshine Coast, Ertha Design works with clients across South East Queensland including Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Fraser Coast.

I've had the best experience with Mellissa, from Ertha Design. I needed someone I could trust to design a home that's a bit out of the ordinary, designed to meet Building Biology guidelines, and Dependent Persons Unit requirements, that means it had to be de-mountable and transportable. We've had many hurdles to jump from Government changes to Council complications and Mellissa has helped deal with all of them. Professional, talented and caring. Highly recommended.
