Awesome work, reliable and great customer service. I have had a bad run with two of my cars, but they helped me get them back on track and on the road again, as quick as they possibly could. I could not thank you guys enough for the service you gave last month.

On the 30th September 2015, I contacted the above company, which is RACQ recommended and also an authorised Repco Service Agent. I asked for a quote to do a 90,000 kilometre service on my 2012 Model NW Pajero. I was aware that this was a major and expensive service and received quite a few quotes for it. I received the following quote from BTM Mechanical & 4WD for just over $900.00. I am not a mechanic, read through the quote and accepted it. On the 13th October 2015 I presented the car at BTM for the service which was carried out. I returned later that day to collect the car only to be told that they didn't realise the auto transmission also required a service and they didn't have the required parts and 'special' oil for the transmission in stock. The transmission service was not included in the quote and would be an extra $500.00 which now made their price the most expensive of the quotes I had received. I was also told it was required to be done as soon as possible because we were towing a caravan. Not having a real choice in the matter, I booked the car in for the transmission to be serviced and extended our stay at the Caravan Park, all extra cost and inconvenience. A few days later the transmission service was carried out and we departed Bowen for Blacks Beach near Mackay QLD. On arriving there I checked the accounts against the Service Manual and found that the brake service had not been done. I rang BTM and advised them of the fact and they made arrangements for me to take my car to a Repco Service Agent in South Mackay which was a fair distance away from where we were staying. Once again I had to extend our stay at Blacks Beach to meet this commitment. BTM footed the bill for the brake service but we were still put at inconvenience and the extra cost of extending our stay. In the following 6 months, I drove my car 8000kms and towed my caravan 1800kms. We had travelled down to Harvey Bay and then returned to near Proserpine in Qld. My caravan weighs under 1500kgs. At that location I began to notice a problem with the car which involved a clunking noise I thought was in the transmission. I took my car to the Mitsubishi Dealer in Proserpine to have it inspected. They did that and found the transmission fluid to be black and in urgent need of replacing. I was told by them that the most likely scenario was that the torque converter was not drained and the 6 litres of oil contained in the converter had contaminated the new oil. I was also told it would have been impossible to pump 10 litres of transmission oil into the gearbox if the converter was not drained. I paid for 10 litres of the transmission oil. So, with no choice, I had the transmission serviced again by Mitsubishi. On doing so I was really shocked to be told they had found a bolt from the transmission filter loose and floating around in the pan of the gearbox. The Service was carried out at a further cost of $364.20 which was very interesting as it was over $100.00 cheaper than BTM. I contacted BTM who denied any liability, stating they had carried out service properly and wanted photographic proof of the wandering filter bolt. They refused to refund monies paid by me for the transmission service. In my opinion this company is just way below par for a Repco and RACQ approved business. The lack of homework on the Service, the obviously inept service on the transmission and just forgetting to do the brake service is appalling. I am also pretty annoyed that the total cost of their service including the brakes which they paid for was around $1600.00 when I actually got a quote from a Mitsubishi Dealer for $1300.00 On their website they make themselves out to be an update professional business but in reality it is just the opposite. I have all relevant documents and photos of the oil taken from the transmission, that after 8000kms was jet black and according to the Mechanic at Mitsubishi should have still been bright red.
