About Finlayson & McKenzie Funeral Directors
Finlayson & McKenzie Funeral Directors has more than 125 years of compassionate experience, helping locals in Rockhampton and Central Queensland in their time of need. Our team of funeral directors understand how difficult the organisation of a funeral can be when moving through the grieving process. We take the time to discuss the preferences of the deceased and their family in order to best assist in planning a suitable funeral service. Families are encouraged to select a venue meaningful to them and their loved one, as well as involve any religious requirements where applicable. Music, readings or poetry are unique to each service, and we work with our clients in order to tailor each service specifically to each individual ceremony. As Rockhampton, Mount Morgan and Yeppoon funeral directors, we can assist with services throughout Queensland. If your loved one has passed on outside of Australia, we have additional overseas repatriation services available. Call our team at Finlayson & McKenzie Funeral Directors in Rockhampton, Mount Morgan or Yeppoon today. We're here to discuss your preferences and assist you planning an appropriate funeral service for your loved one.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a Death Certificate?
These are issued by the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages in your state. Finlayson & McKenzie is responsible for registering the death with this Registry within 7 days of the burial or cremation. Once the death is registered, Births, Deaths and Marriages provide a formal Death Certificate, which is open a necessary document for any legal and estate issues that need to be ended to.
What do I do in the event of a loved one's death?
When a loved one dies, most people contact their close family members and friends. If you are responsible for arranging the funeral or cremation, you could contact the deceased's doctor. There will need to be an official death certificate issued before the funeral director can begin caring for the deceased.
