I took my daughter to Hairhouse Cairns Central for a haircut and colour, showing them a reference picture of the highlighted stripes she wanted. The stylist assured us they could achieve this look, but after three hours and $250, she ended up with an all-over colour instead of highlights, and the cut was much shorter than she asked for. When I contacted the salon, they acknowledged the issue but refused a refund, only offering to "fix" it in the salon. My daughter no longer trusts them, and given the mistake they already made, we were not comfortable letting them try again. Despite multiple requests, they refused to take responsibility or offer any compensation. This was a disappointing and expensive experience, and I would not recommend this salon to anyone looking for professional, reliable service. If they make a mistake, they won’t refund you—they’ll only force you to let them “fix” it, even if you no longer trust them.
