Helensvale Tavern

What a lovely evening once again at the Helensvale Tavern. We are regular patrons of the Tavern over a number of years. We feel we should make a comment in regard to the service we receive. One staff member in particular has always demonstrated an efficient and very pleasant contact with all her customers. We appreciate her consideration and the lovely reception we get on every visit to your establishment by the lovely Sarah. In these days Sarah is an example of what service is, in every respect. We had a meal here a week ago and it was good. Yesterday we went back and have to say it was the worse meal (Lamb shanks ) I’ve ever had… Told staff and she said we had some returned yesterday must be a bad batch. Couldn’t even cut them with a steak knife….Bad batch take them off the menu !! Won’t be back…..

We had a full priced meal last Saturday it cost $28 each it was suppose to be EYE FILLET it was not it was dry & tasteless!! We ordered medium cooked steaks they were enemic in appearance & over cooked!! We were hesitant to complain as we had quite an unpleasant experience with the older fair haired wait staff!!! We are locals & we sent an email to the Manager & he did not even bother to respond! We usually have a meal at the Tavern every week end & we will no longer recommend the Helensvale Tavern to family & friends!!!

We Ria andRob de Cler come for years for lunch and play pokies. The lunches are very nice,except that you have to pay extra for a bit of sweet chilly sauce.
