About Institute of Sensitive Sleep Consulting

The heart of the Institute is to advocate for parenting styles that embrace the child-parent bond. The aim of the Institute is to enlighten and train professionals and new students with a commitment to taking on a more sensitive approach to sleep work. The Institute is the first and only approved training provider in Australia to align its practices with Attachment Parenting values and fully supports all parenting styles. I'm passionate about the importance of sleep for families, and I'm a strong believer in respecting individual family values (ie. co-sleeping, no cry it out, etc).

This course was great! I loved how I could work through it at my own pace and there are also online group sessions and forums where students can discuss methods and ask questions. It was good to get different perspectives. Definitely recommend.

I have loved learning at the Institute for Sensitive Sleep. I had regular private mentoring sessions for six months and the instructor was so lovely and helpful with feedback on all my practice clients. There was a lot of info to cover, but I was allowed to take my time (I had my kids home... I think I could have finished sooner otherwise).

I took a course with the Institute of Sensitive Sleep Consulting and while I enjoyed the content I feel this course may be suited to professionals already working in the baby sleep are who would like the learn abou the evidence available on infant sleep. The mentoring offered is only one 30minute session throughout the whole course. The supervisions through practice clients does not occur when actually working with clients. It is very difficult to get in contact with the institute if you have any queries on the course or on practice clients. There are very infrequent group sessions. The lectures are al pre recorded so there is no interaction when you take the class and it can be difficult to get replies to any queries. There are a lot of courses out there in this area, I would suggest one that offered a more real-time and one to one mentoring and supervision if you are new to area.
