Jared’s Stressless Removals

DON’T PAY THE FERRYMAN, UNTIL HE GETS YOU TO THE OTHER SIDE!! I thought Jared’s Stressless Removals would be trustworthy & kind to a senior citizen. I was WRONG. Moving states, I asked for a bigger truck and was sent a small truck. The driver then told me to choose what items to take. Instructions via Messenger comms were to pay the driver in cash & I (foolishly) did so. The two men were friendly, but not very cautious moving my belongings on & off the truck. I rang Jared on 2/9/24, & he suggested that he would personally attend to the remaining items, but from that point onwards he never picked up his phone to me. All my contact attempts in the last 6 weeks, have had no reply. Short version …… I’ve been ditzed, AND I should not have fully paid for a half achieved move, leaving half my belongings still in another state. NOT HAPPY JARED. I couldn’t possibly suggest other people go through this type of mess up, so, NO. 👎

No proper ramp equipment so they had to drive around for 30 minutes trying to find a driveway with a steep enough incline that we could use to drive the car in. Hardly anything secured in the truck, but I naively trusted them. On arrival multiple items damaged, some even destroyed; chesterfield chair was entirely destroyed, car’s back windshield smashed and rear side significantly dented, mattress stained and damaged from being dragged across the truck floor to name a few. Some items also lost. Shady behaviour on arrival. Tried to hide the full extent of the damage and missing items until after he got paid. Actually even delayed delivery until night possibly for this reason, though this is just a guess really. Overall: completely unprofessional service and shady practice.

I was booked for Friday, due to issues with a previous move they did not show. As a result I had to do car loads myself - my petrol cost. They changed my move to Saturday. My cleaners were booked for Saturday, so they had to move to Sunday, resulting in an additional $100 cost to me. I booked a 40 cubic metre truck, this wasn't delivered, the smaller truck resulted in 2 trips instead of 1 (extra time and cost to me). I was overpriced above their given hourly rate and had to push for a reduction, that still did not cover my additional costs, stress and inconvenience. In my case, their business name definitely did not match my experience.

Jake and Beau arrived early and went straight to work. They were efficient, courteous and went out of their way to help out any way they could. I highly recommend using this business when you need removalists. Thank you Jake and Beau. Super effort and greatly appreciated.
