The Jax team fitted a full set of tyres to my vehicle recently and carried out a wheel alignment. The workers were friendly and the work was performed quickly; however, when I arrived to pay, I was informed my rear brake pads needed replacing urgently and was quoted $499 for this service. The employee stressed that for safety reasons, I should have this done as a matter of priority. I thought the quoted price seemed quite expensive and seeing as my car was due for a service anyway, I promptly booked in at my usual mechanic to have the work carried out. They informed me my brake pads in fact did NOT need replacing and said that when the time does come, their standard charge for both front and rear brakes was only $238 – less than half the price of Jax. I’m a female in my early 30s and it’s pretty obvious I don’t know much about cars. I feel as though Jax tried to take advantage of that fact and rip me off, so if you’re planning on using this business, be wary of the money grab!

Had a tyre puncture repaired $39. Bit steep I thought. Then given quote for brake repairs(pads, rotors and flush $474+79=$553.) I contacted ONE other brake repair company quote $360. Responded to emailed survey had a response from Jax whose reply to the price difference "they use quality parts". Seriously!!!! I suggest if you receive a quote get others for comparison.
