About JCU Dental
JCU Dental is a teaching clinic associated with James Cook University's Discipline of Dentistry Townsville campus. We support the university's vision to provide clinical experience to dental students while simultaneously offering comprehensive dental care to the Townsville public. JCU Dentistry students, alongside experienced dental professionals, perform all of our services and treatments. As a teaching clinic, appointments are expected to be longer in duration than other clinics. Our students learn how to perform emergency dental services as well as basic procedures including crown, bridge, dentures, periodontics, endodontics, and general and paediatric dentistry. Equipped with bariatric chairs and latest technologies, JCU students and supervising dentists can undertake diagnostic examinations, bitewing radiographs, cosmetic teeth whitening, and oral surgeries and extractions. Paediatric dentistry, as well as sedation are also available. We are committed to providing dental health care to the Townsville community and Far North Queensland.
