Really enjoyed our meals tonight. Family had Fish Curry, Lamb Jhalfrezi, Dal Makhani and Butter Chicken, plus a Vege Mix Platter. The Vege Samosa was amazing. All the curries were delicious, and came with complimentary rice and pappadums. Naan bread was soft and lovely (spinach and cheese one was divine). Really enjoyed it! While we waited for our order, we were even given pappadums to whet the appetite. Lovely, and will be visiting again. Love the amazing number of vegetarian options on the menu. Delicious! Kids even demanded I ring and tell them how good the food was!

I have tried many indian restaurants in Townsville and many other restaurants in big cities like Toronto Canada, Brisbane City, New York... But none of those restaurants have butter chicken and chicken vendori (sth like this) as excellent as Joy Indian. I found these two are the most delicious. All other are also good but just the second best!!! If you eat at Joy Indian, you must make sure to ask owner reheat the food for you. For some reason it's better that way. :)

A real gem. Amazing food and value and they have dishes not seen at others. If you like mushrooms give the mushroom dishes a go they're divine and they make the best pakoras.
