Kookaburra Coastal Retreat

I can't speak highly enough of my stay at Kookaburra Coastal Retreat. I had just come from a few days staying with friends at another BnB further down the coast, & while it was huge & lovely, we had to supply all our own towels (beach and personal), there was no coffee machine or even a coffee plunger, only rudimentary basic pantry staples (tea bags, powdered coffee, salt, pepper etc) and the general heating was woefully inadequate. KCR in comparison was so welcoming, roomy-but-cosy & comfortable & I can't think of any requirement that wasn't anticipated & catered for. The pantry was full, fresh fruit, fresh laid eggs, a variety of breakfast items, plenty of clean linens & blankets, super comfy beds, air-con, privacy, lovely bush surroundings, beautiful Rainbow Beach close by. . . And Ralph, the owners sweet Pug, is adorable. I highly recommend this lovely place, the owners are friendly, easy to approach & happy to help. We'll definitely be back!

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Kookaburra Coastal Retreat. We felt welcome immediately and had plenty of room to relax and enjoy the peaceful environment. The local birdlife is colourful, cheerful and varied. The spa was an absolute bonus and access to pantry staples, the kitchen garden and fresh eggs was a lovely surprise. The kitchen is huge and beautifully appointed. The bed was very comfy and the large TV an extra treat. A few minutes walk to the beach and Nadine and Scott were amazing hosts. Great value for money with as much privacy or social interaction as you choose. We can't recommend Kookaburra Coastal Retreat highly enough!
