About Kuranda Pet Resort

Kuranda Pet Resort is a pet accommodation business servicing the Kuranda, Tablelands, Cape York Peninsula and Cairns areas. Our goal is to ensure that every dog in our care has a safe, relaxed and engaging experience that increases their confidence and sociability while away from their family pack. We offer unrivalled, clean and modern facilities that ensure your pet has a happy and comfortable stay. We feed 'super premium' dry food (Royal Canin) and freshly cooked chicken risotto twice daily. We also always have baked chicken on hand for fussy dogs. Every guest has hours of playtime every day with our devoted staff in one of our eight large grassed yards. We offer bathing and basic grooming (brushing, deshedding and nails), and any dogs that stays 7 or more days enjoys a complimentary hydrobath (using gentle natural products) and a blow dry before going home. We use unbreakable 'Kuranda' dog beds with 'VetFleece' bedding, and we put warm knitted coats on our guests for Winter nights. We offer a pick-up and drop-off service for most areas. Leo always comes home happy and well rested. Once he didn’t even seem that keen to come home. We’ve used other places around the area and he always comes home looking a little traumatised. He’s a gentle soul but they seem to get him here. We always try to book ahead to ensure we get a space here.

Excellent care and attention, even with a 4paws that needs Vet attention. Very happy experience with long and short stays. We have two standard poodles that are very excited to arrive for their holidays with Helen, Pru and KPR team. PS: Birthday celebrations are a great treat!

Thankyou to Graham, Di and all the staff. Our experience every time we leave our beloved “ACE” at the Kuranda Pet Resort is fantastic. Graham and Di consistently go the extra mile for us and are always willing to be as flexible as they can. We find them friendly, personal, caring and professional and ACE always comes home looking happy and healthy. We highly recommend this pet resort and the services Graham and Di provide. We would not take our ACE anywhere else.

Our dog Olly has stayed at The Kuranda Pet Resort many times when we go on a holiday. Each time he was there for one month or longer. We can relax as we know they look after him really well. Everytime we pick Olly up he looks great and fit. They also looked after our eclectus parrot Harriet, she got a huge cage to herself. Kuranda Pet Resort is better than home for our rottie boxer cross. He has been going there for 10 years during family holidays, emergencies etc. Di and Graham and their staff have always been there when needed - they treat him as their own and he knows it. Socialising, exercising, beautiful accommodation - he loves it.
