Lantern Motor Inn

Did an overnighter in Mackay, and was lucky to come across this gem of a place. Management went out of their way to be accomodating, this motel represents excellent value, and the rooms are superior to other like motels that we have stayed in in Mackay. The meals were also great value, and for future travels to Mackay we will see this place as our preferred option.

The best stay ever, we had the warmest welcome by the lovely lady Leanne. The motel and its grounds are immaculate. Our room is spotless and had everything we could possibly need during our stay. We have stayed in many motels before, and The Lantern Motor Inn is by far the best ! * * * * * 5 Stars for you!

Have spent a few months at a time in Mackay for work, and spent most my stay at the lantern, Andrew and Leanne were exceptional hosts, thank you guys so much for your great hospitality and making me feel so welcome. Will be back to stay again, and recommend to others.

Great hospitality, the staff were so friendly and made us feel very welcome. The motel room was great, very comfortable and no noise from the road at all. The BBQ area was used a few times upon our stay and its in great location close to everything in Mackay. Will be staying here again, thank you

Have stayed here a couple of times for work purposes, and the owners provide such great hospitality. I was woken to a lovely home cooked hot breakfast and coffee, and was even given packed lunch for the day with fresh fruit and juice, which is always great considering i always find myself paying for takeaway fast foods when I'm away from home. Their recommendations for dinners are fantastic and in walking distance, so it was good to be able to enjoy a drink after work, and be able to walk to the accommodation afterwards. I would highly recommend Lantern Motor Inn to anyone.

Have stayed here a few times over the years, and have made it my favourite stop over when travelling through mackay, the owners are very friendly and welcoming, the beds are comfy and rooms are always clean. They really know how to make their guests feel welcome and the Wi Fi is great use for me, and is not timed like most places. Would highly recommend.
