About Leaps & Bounds Speech Pathology
Leaps & Bounds Speech Pathology was established in Kahibah in 2001. We have since moved to Charlestown and have an office in Warners Bay. Whilst our practice specialises in children, our team are fully trained to assist adults, and we have great success with clients of all ages. We are a team of caring and committed professionals who share a common goal to be the absolute best Speech Pathologists we can be. We are dedicated to providing the highest quality services to our clients and our community. Our Speech Pathologists are all registered members of the Speech Pathology Association of Australia. We regularly undertake specialised post graduate training and development to ensure we are giving the best service to our clients. Our clinicians are Hanen Certified and are PROMPT trained. Our clinicians are also certified providers of Sounds-Write. Our clinicians also run social skills groups (PEERs program and SAS program). Two of our clinicians are trained in Orofacial Myology. We are registered NDIS providers. Leaps & Bounds Speech Pathologists really care about our clients and want to make a positive difference in the lives of the people we work with, whilst making therapy enjoyable and giving support to their family. We believe speech therapy should be fun and should also help to increase a child’s self-esteem and confidence, and assist adults in participating fully in their home and community. Leaps & Bounds Speech Pathology is a busy practice built largely upon word-of-mouth referrals due to our excellent reputation. We are not the biggest practice, nor do we have any desire to be - we only want to be the best. We know that every parent wants the best for their child, and it is our passionate goal to meet this high standard.

Frequently Asked Questions
When should I refer?
'Early intervention' is the best way to assist children who are having difficulties. In other words, don't just 'wait and see', but get in touch as soon as there are concerns. Our Speech Pathologists can determine whether a child would benefit from therapy or whether the difficulties are appropriate for his or her age.
How often do I attend?
Weekly therapy with homework in between is ideal for maximising learning opportunities and consistency of progress…but…we know this is not possible for some families for various reasons. We can arrange less frequent sessions to suit your individual needs.
