i have had mr Locke work on my bike in his garbutt shop, he fitted new tyres to my triumph -after building the wheels with new rims,he told me how he fitted race bike tyres to formula one bikes in europe ,the brand new tyres still had factory wax on them - the latest metzler radials -work great -how your treated has to do with your own attitude - Allan -recommend 100% mick dromgool

I have been using Locke's tyres for a couple of years. Last month he fitted a new tyre which is 3 1/2 years old. This week I went to purchase a tyre for another wheel and mentioned the last one was a bit old for my liking. I asked for one to be ordered in or check the dates of the ones in his stock. As a customer I am entitled to ask about the age of the tyre. They got bent out shape when I started talking about the age of tyres and refused to order one in or check the dates of his tyres. As his grand finale he removed a tyre for me off another wheel and decided to help himself to spoke weights and put some marks on the wheel. His wife in the office is another story!!! I think after 35 years in business it may be time to retire.
