I came here with 300kg of batteries ranging from small electric wheelchair batteries to larger house batteries. I'm an autistic person and made the mistake of assuming i would be given a fair deal and most scrap metal places would pay a similar price.
I was rushed through the transaction and was handed $60 without a receipt and sent on my way. On my way home i realised the man had rushed me through without saying much and the price didn't seem right, so i called them back and asked how much per kg they had paid me. I was told they pay 25c per kg and they hung up on me. I did the math and i was underpaid by $15. I later did some more research, a place in Brisbane was paying (at the time) $3.30 per kg which works out to around $950. Upon calling them back and trying to call them on taking advantage of me, I was met with abuse, yelling and name calling.
I will avoid this company at all costs from now on.
