The company commenced trading in 1989 using machinery designed and developed by one of the founding partners, Carmody Specialist Engineering Pty. Ltd, who is a world leader in the field of Disposable Headwear, Surgical Facemask and Protective Shoe Cover manufacturing equipment. Machinery was commissioned to manufacture these protective apparel products for both Medical and Industrial applications. Subsequently additional machines have been commissioned to increase market penetration. To further broaden the manufacturing and marketing base, the "Celflo" Company was purchased in November 1998. "Celflo" products include "Underpads" and other miscellaneous paper products. Med-Con now supplies a full range of Premium Disposable Protective Apparel.
