About Medowie Macadamias

Come and enjoy an award-winning, barista made coffee or a bite to eat in a relaxing atmosphere, while you learn something about theiconic anddelicious Australian nut. Medowie Macadamias in Port Stephens is one of the most southern commercial growing macadamia plantations in Australia and we welcome all visitors, including groups and coaches. Our guests can learn how we grow and process macadamias on one of our small farm tours and then sample some of our huge selection of products in our farm gift shop. We produce a variety of skincare products and delicious foods, including biscuits, crackers, chocolates, spreads or oils and always introduce new products to our ranges. Our on-site caf is opened every day for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea and our amazing chefs prepare fresh food and cake daily, so no matter whether you are staying at our farm for the day, or whether you just pop in for a quick coffee or a snack, you will always have a huge selection of freshly made, locally sourced dishes and desserts to choose from. We also offer takeaways. Yesterday I visited the cafe with my friend and was met by a waitress who expected me to shout my order while she rung up the order on the till. I was not able to shout the order and she then came over to the counter and stuck a number in front of us and said something along the lines of ‘is this good enough for you’. What rudeness she displayed and we both walked out. Where are the days when the ‘customer is always right’. I don’t expect to be told to shout my order and it will be a long time before I return to that cafe.

Really loved the dressing/aioli which topped the eggs Benedict. The place amongst the macadamia trees is very pretty. There is a substantial kids playground.

Beautiful strong coffee and great food. We had the corn fritters, eggs benedict & bacon/eggs......the portions were massive and tasted amazing!

Loved the macadamia sundae! Also have small play area for children, which helped us in having a peaceful lunch!

Not just about the nuts here. It's actually a good stopping point if you're looking for a nicely made coffee with good, covered outdoor area. As expected, they have a good variety of macadamias and they're actually very tasty. We got a few different varieties and I feel like we did well for the price compared to quality. The staff are lovely and generally pretty efficient. They were training new people up when we got there but you can't complain about that; we've all been there. Overall, I recommend for a break, go grab a refreshment and stroll through the macadamia tress.

Medowie Macadamias has simply the most beautiful food and great service. It is a lovely space, child friendly, offering excellent products and the cafÃ© is very reasonably priced. Highly recommend. Five stars. Deanne.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced!! 30 mins wait for 1 cappuccino! Instead of simply apologing for the wait, Management made excuses why others got their coffee first (take away takes preference!) I asked for a simple apology when I get the response "If that's going to make you feel better... Sorry for the wait!" What kind of business is this!! Will not be recommending this place to anyone wouldn't even encourage anyone to stop in if driving past!!! All they do is coffee & food... & they advise there is a wait which is fine but 30mins for a coffee & 20 mins for raisen toast with poor attitude! Not acceptable!

We visited this delightful place & stayed for lunch. Staff were exceptional, as was the food and the prices were reasonable .There is a "little kids" play area, green grass to run around on and a few very cute free ranging chickens. A very peaceful rest stop. Harry

This nice spot is probably the best cafe for groups to dine in Medowie. Menu is great and I like how they tie the macadamias into the meals. Service is good and friendly. The coffee quality is mostly good!

Lovely little place. Pasta for lunch was just deliciousâ€”it was great and creamy. My recent visit for breakfast was amazing, I tried macadamia milk in my coffee, which was quite nice! Poached eggs were PERFECT.
