Frequently Asked Questions
What is an X-RAY?
An x-ray is one of the most commonly performed examinations for assessing injured limbs, body parts or examining the chest for possible infection. An x-ray image (or radiograph) is produced when a very small amount of radiation passes through and strikes a sheet of sensitive film or a detector placed on the other side of the body. You will not feel any discomfort as a result of the x-ray.
What is an X-ray used for?
An x-ray is a form of medical imaging used for getting an accurate image of body structures. They can be helpful in identifying bone density, or even informing on general issues regarding patient care, to help identify the cause of discomfort or ruling out any concerns.
