Last Thursday I drove my mother to Mid Coast Eggs to buy 4 trays of 30 eggs. We do this on a regular basis so that we are support local business and because the eggs are fresh and the best. On this occasion, my mother casually stated to the lady that the last lot we bought (7 trays) we found some cracked eggs when we got home, to which we were meet with a very hostile response. "There's nothing I can do about it. My chooks are laying large eggs and the trays are being made smaller, so I'm going to sell them now 20 a tray." She proceeded to go on about the manufacture of the trays and frankly was quiet rude. It wasn't a criticism just a word to tell them. When asked how many were cracked we told her 3 on one tray and her response was, "Well that's not bad out of 30." To which she put 3 extra eggs in our order this time, but it was the manner in which she spoke. If you want to keep your business in a good light, grow some manners and listen to your customers. No need to speak to anyone the way you did.
