We purchased prawns today and we were unable to eat them as they were as tuff nails. We had to throw them away, very disappointed with your market, especially when we paid $38 for them.

Hey guys I bought 1 kg of Tiger prawns off u yesterday 2nd October 2024 they were over cooked and inedible the taste made me want to vomit very disappointing considering they cost me 39.90 kg

Kellie Sorry to hear that you were disappointed in the Tiger prawns. Are you sure you have bought them from our shop. I tried the prawns this morning and they were quite good. You are always welcome to try our product before you purchase. Our Tiger prawns are $42.90 per kg, not $39.90. Ring the shop or bring the docket in and I will gladly refund your money. Excluding the supermarkets, you have 3 choices if you want fresh seafood in the Nelson Bay area. Holberts sell oysters and prawns. Then in Nelson Bay you have the 2 fishmongers. Nelson Bay Fish Market is not only cheaper than their competition, but they also sell better quality fish. Their range may not be quite as large, and their shopfront not quite so fancy, but trust me - this is the place to go. I live locally and have tried both, but I'll only shop at the competitor if I need something urgently and Nelson Bay Seafood is sold out. Highly recommend the Myall Lake school prawns and live mud crabs. Hi to Frog and Daz who run the joint

The seafood truck came to Sunrise last Friday and I can honestly say, best seafood I’ve had for ages, the oysters were amazing and the salmon delicious. Highly recommend.

There open 7 days a week , and they CHARGE 10% extra on a public holiday . Fair dinkum ! NOT . Not happy jan

Martin we are open 7 days a week but we have never charged 10% extra on a public holiday. Prices may vary because of Market pricing and an increase in Co-op purchase pricing certain times of year, as well as availability and seasonal supply of a certain product. However our shop pricing remains the same all year round. If I am able to purchase a certain product at a good price, I always pass the special onto our customers. Regards Ian

After being told on the 23rd that "We dont take orders but we have plenty" I got there at 3.30 on the 24th from the Central Coast and was told "Sorry, NO PRAWNS NO FISH NO LOBSTER" this after being told there is plenty to choose from.!@#$% Not Happy but got what I wanted next door...so all good.

I apologise for your experience with us Snow, because we are only a small operation, Nelson Bay Fish Market can only physically make up 200 orders in preparation for the 24th December. Our order cut off was Friday 18th Dec. I thought I had plenty of stock as I ordered twice as much as I used last year, including 1.8 ton of prawn and 1500 doz. oysters, but by 2pm on the 24th I had sold out. Regards Ian NBFM
