Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a referral to see a psychologist at New Lambton Psychology?
No, you do not need a referral to see a psychologist at our service. However, accessing psychology services via your GP (under a Mental Health Care Plan) will allow you to claim a rebate under Medicare which assists with the costs of therapy.
Do you offer formal reports and assessments?
Psychological and diagnostic testing is currently available for children and adolescents. All assessments will include a formal report that can be used for communicating your child’s needs with their school / other health practitioners, as well as supporting applications for funding. Please note that assessments, letters, or reports are NOT able to be provided for family law or legal purposes.
