Physical Therapy has been helping people in the Illawarra with physiotherapy and sports injury management for more than 16 years. Our purpose-built facility caters to a range of disciplines under one roof, allowing you to receive specialised care in the one location. We are an accredited WorkCover provider and our physiotherapy and exercise physiology services are covered by private health care providers and Medicare. Our physiotherapists have the qualifications and experience to provide physical therapy treatment for people with disabilities. Their expertise in effecting improvements in mobility and helping to alleviate long-term pain is the foundation for our considerable success as a medical treatment facility. Physiotherapy is ideal for the management of sports injuries and post surgery rehabilitation. It can improve functional ability and quality of life in circumstances where movement and function are threatened by injury, disease, ageing or environmental factors. At Physical Therapy, we develop fitness and wellness-oriented programs and work with you to prevent the loss of mobility before it occurs. We can help you recover maximum movement and functional ability and maintain a healthier and more active lifestyle. We also specialise in occupational risk assessment and also perform assessments for dancers. Physical Therapy also treats VRT Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapy. VRT is an exercise-based program designed to promote central nervous system compensation for inner ear defects. (Vertigo) We treat clients for TMJ Temporomandibular Joint Disorders, commonly known as lock jaw. The facilities at Physical Therapy are ideal for rehabilitation and include a fully-equipped gym and a heated indoor hydrotherapy pool. As well as hydrotherapy, we also offer aqua aerobics classes. We are the preferred provider for physio services for the St George Illawarra Dragons, Cutters and Steelers rugby league teams. We are also involved with UOW Rugby, UOW Hockey, Wests Devils and Wollongong Wolves.
