We service pests such as ants, mice, fleas, spiders, cockroaches, etc.

How long does a pre-purchase inspection take at Pianto's Pest Control?

Accepted Answer

An inspection of a standard 3-4 bedroom house on a concrete slab should take between 1h 15m and 1h 30m.  More time is required if there is difficulty accessing areas, or if the floor is a suspended floor.

Can I attend the inspection with Pianto's Pest Control?

If the real estate agent and the homeowner or tenant is agreeable, you are more than welcome to attend.  We can answer any questions you may have while on site.

When will I have the report at Pianto's Pest Control?

Accepted Answer

We try to send all of our pre-purchase inspection reports on the same day as the inspection.  You will have your report within 24 hours.

Does an inspection protect my home against termites according to Pianto's Pest Control?

Accepted Answer

An inspection to Australian Standards is only a description of the building at the time of inspection.  It does not guarantee that termites will not enter the building at any time after the inspection.  An inspection is intended to catch termites early before damage becomes extensive, & while the termite colony is hopefully young & easy to treat.

How long until cockroaches are gone according to Pianto's Pest Control?

Accepted Answer

Usually one visit for small infestations and two for larger infestations. A quick treatment relies on you helping us out. Cockroaches may not go for the bait if there are food scraps lying around. You need to maintain a very clean kitchen so that the cockroaches have no choice but to eat the bait. If you leave food crumbs and grease marks about, treatment will take longer.

Is Pianto's Pest Control cockroach spray toxic?

Maxforce and Seclira have very low toxicity in mammals. Even so, we mix the rate low enough that it does not pose a risk if you come into contact with it.   We are committed to environmentally friendly cockroach control, so we don't use anything highly toxic.

Doesn't Pianto's Pest Control spider spray also keep away the cockroaches?

Accepted Answer

Our spider spray is a repellent treatment. Just like with ants, cockroaches will avoid the sprayed areas and find other ways into your house.   A spider spray is not very effective against most cockroach species, but they can keep some common garden types at bay.

Are Pianto's Pest Control treatments toxic?

Accepted Answer

The termite bait we use is completely non-toxic to humans and other mammals. It is less toxic than table salt.

What is termite baiting according to Pianto's Pest Control?

Accepted Answer

We install termite bait stations onto the areas of termite activity. Termites feed on the bait, taking it back to the nest to feed workers, soldiers, developing nymphs, & the queen. The bait inhibits termites ability to grow a new exoskeleton when they periodically moult. They then dry out and die. We monitor the baiting process & eventually, the termite colony cannot support itself & dies.

What is termite foaming according to Pianto's Pest Control?

Accepted Answer

We inject a foam product directly into termite workings and feeding galleries. We do it in such a way that the most number of termites comes into contact with the treated area. Chemical control (including foams, sprays and dusts) are not as reliable as baiting treatments, but they are a lot quicker.

How long does treatment take at Pianto's Pest Control?

Accepted Answer

In warmer months, baiting takes between 1 and 3 months.   During winter, when termites don't consume much food or moult as regularly, baiting can take longer.  This may seem like a long time, but a long baiting process and follow-up inspections is required for us to provide a guarantee. Treatment options like sprays and foaming can be quicker, but we don't offer guarantees when baiting isn't done.
