I have been here before and really enjoyed their service and food. But today was different, and unfortunately my family and I will never be back again. I ordered the Crumbed Haloumi, and while the haloumi was delicious, the pesto sauce that covered the plate was absolutely horrible. It tasted off and I almost vomited when I put some in my mouth, forcing me to spit it out everywhere. I went up and told the staff, who were very polite, but when they approached the chef he looked angry and said he’d made it this morning so it was fine. The staff came back to me and said “maybe you just didn’t like the taste?” I said that I always have pesto and love it, but this tasted absolutely foul. I asked if I could have a refund for just my meal as I wasn’t able to eat most of it, just the haloumi and eggs, and they said no. Really frustrating. Never returning here. Felt like I wasn’t heard or looked after.

Came to Alice for a couple of days either side of a three day hike around Uluru etc. Nipped in here for breakfast.... wow. I had the corn fritters, with avo, a mountain of bacon, Poached eggs, salsa, it was delicious and couldn’t quite finish it - the portions are not small! Then went back a few days later and had the open steak sandwich - again a towering plate of steak, onion, bell peppers, chilli and basil pesto and loads more... This place is serving food I’ve not had for quadruple the price in London.

The most wonderful breakfast menu in the world. You have to try the corn fritters and delicious fresh juices. A must visit every time I’m in Alice springs.

Best little coffee shop in Alice springs.

As locals we have visited Piccolo's many times. Usually its because we know they serve a great coffee, but we also go occasionally for special family breakfast/brunch after visiting Todd Mall Markets. Recently they changed hands, so I was VERY happy to find the new owners are as passionate about great service and awesome food/coffee as the previous owner. I have never been disappointed in the food quality and often recommended Piccolo's for great food/coffee. And I will continue to recommend them. Keep up the good work Piccolo's :)
