Every steam cleaning performed by Prestige Carpet Cleaning begins with a vigorous vacuuming of the entire area. Over 50 to 60% of the dirt in your carpet is dry soil and can be removed by vacuuming using a 3 stage filtration system. Prestige Carpet Cleaning uses a Tennant upright commercial vacuum cleaner for this purpose. A concentrated prespray is then sprayed onto the carpet, which begins to break down dirt, oil and odours. I use a product called DUCK’S NUTS supplied from a company called XO2. After applying the prespray, the carpet is thoroughly rinsed with pressurized hot water using a Polivac Predator MKII, leaving it clean, soft and with a fresh sweet fragrance. After this, the carpets will only need 2-4 hours to fully dry.
