About Proserpine Smash Repairs & Restorations

Proserpine Smash Repairs & Restorations is a small family owned and run the panel, paint and restoration business, situated as the name says in the North Queensland town of Proserpine. Partners Ash & Deb, along with children Tahlia & Coen decided to take on the business in July 2016. Ash, the panel beater, has been in the trade for the past 30 years, starting off in Gracemere and then for the past 16 years working for a local Panel & paint business before deciding to have a go on his own with the backing of Deb and family. As we are approved repairers for all Insurance Companies, we do all Insurance work and any general panel & paint repairs, Ash also has a passion for restoring and bringing the old classics back to life, while Deb runs the office and does the final inspection of all vehicles prior to leaving the workshop. I have a very nice 50 yr old muscle car and want it to look good so i went to this guy. I was quoted a price to fix paint , seat bumpers bonnet and boot properly aligned, did a very poor paint repair and didn't even touch the other jobs that was quoted and still charged full price. I queried this and got poor excuses. My friend seen my car and asked " is that where you fuel filler used to be " looking at the part where pa paint repair was done. May have used to be good. Now just doesn't care. I even took it back again to get it done properly and never got the call back. Never again and Def wouldn't recommend
