Frequently Asked Questions
I have already seen a Doctor and have a prescription. Can I get it administered at Raby Medical Centre?
You will still need to see the GP at Raby Medical Centre. This is because the GP who administers the infusion will have to make an assessment of your health conditions and, decide on the suitability and dosage. This is an important step as some individuals have contraindications to intravenous(IV) iron.
I already use a contraceptive and need it replaced. How does this work?
If you already use the Implanon® or Intrauterine device (IUD) like Merena or the copper and need it replaced, the device needs to be first removed. Removal of an existing device will take place on the day of the insertion procedure.
