Real Life Books

I bought the book through fishpond but received the book through Real Life Books. Real Life Books should be ashamed of themselves. the book was in horrible condition, with bent over pages, scribble from previous many owners, smelly dirty pages and only fit for the bin. I will never use again and I will contact fishpond to complain also.

the book was in disgusting condition, with someone else's, notes, underlined, pages dog-eared. all pages very yellow. I will never use again.

I received my book very quickly and the tracking was very good but I'm so disappointed at the condition of the book. It appears in a former life to been very wet...all wrinkly and discoloured. I could have bought it new for $3 more, (no postage) from well know on- line seller:(

EXTREMELY upset with Real Life Books. Book advertised as as new - arrived SMELLY, yellow pages, brown stains. definitely NOT as new - Real Life books you are a SCAM and should be completely ashamed of yourselves - BEWARE all book buyers. This is actually a NO STAR rating

Not quite AS NEW as I was expecting. Lots of brown stains (spots). Looks like it has been around for a long time. Was to be a present, but not now, very disappointing. Margaret

Received a book that was sold as new condition. When it arrived today it looks second hand. The pages look like they have been wet at some point in time and the top corner of the cover is buckled. Not happy and won't be ordering through Fishpond site again.

Like many people who have left reviews on this page, I purchased a 'new' book and received one that was not in new condition.

I purchased a 'new' book from Real Life Books and received an old one, complete with a 'Get Well Soon' card from a random past owner as a book mark! Looks like they recycle old and used books and on sell them 'as new'! BUYER BEWARE! DODGY OPERATION!

I ordered an old book from Fishpond on Saturday 7th April. I received it on Friday 13th April. The book came from REAL LIFE BOOKS, Kingscliff, NSW. The book is in excellent condition considering it is 18 years old and delivery was quicker than I expected. Thanks to everyone involved and I will use Fishpond again.

I bought a book via Fishpond expecting it to be in good if not excellent condition - the front cover is folded & so are the pages through the back of the book. Had I seen it in a secondhand bookshop, I would have only paid 50c - Disappointed!

I recently purchased a book through Real Life Books via fishpond. It was advertised 'as new'. The book arrived with broken binding, so several sections were loose and when I turned the pages they fell out, There was also a whole section of photographs missing from the text. Very disappointing. I have written to Real Life Books and Fishpond requesting a full refund.

I ordered a book through Fishpond.com and was completely surprised that it arrived within a week. I knew that this book was second hand when I ordered it but, by the look of it, it could have been new. It was packaged in plastic then bubble wrap then more paper wrapping. I couldn't have been happier with the condition of the book and the price was much cheaper than other sellers. I can recommend Real Life Books and will definitely be looking for other titles from them through Fishpond. com. Well done Real Life Books.

Hi Real Life Books. Your prices are way lower than everyone else's. Where do you source your books from? Can't imagine how you make any money on them.

I ordered a book from Fishpond and received it a week later, beautifully packaged and wrapped in plastic and in great condition - second hand but who cares as the condition is great. Thanks Real Life Books!!

I bought a book in January 2016 that was advertised as being in "as new" condition. It was in "acceptable" condition. Seller offered partial refund, but the point is, the books are bought from op shops and are clearly all "used" but every time I go to order a book, this seller shows "on top" because she/he says the books are NEW, so I search harder on Fishpond to find honest sellers. I think this seller uses the algorithms (?) to manipulate to their advantage. If you sell lots of books, a fair percentage of buyers won't complain, so you come out in front! Until this happened, and the person admitted they buy from op shops, I had always found Fishpond reliable too.
