Why do we have to register our pools and spas?
The Victorian State government has passed new legislation that it is compulsory for all pool/spa owners are to register their swimming pool/spa with their local council. The intent of the new regulation is to ensure that all pool/spa safety barriers are maintained and compliant to prevent further death of children in backyard pools.
What happens if I don’t register my pool and spa?
It is mandatory by law to register your pool or spa with your local council. Failing to do so is a breach of the Building Regulation. You may be subjected to penalties and fines without warning.
