About SJP Mediation Solutions
Our practice Having been part of the Sunshine Coast community for over two decades, the original firm opened its doors in 1981. Over time, not only have we had a number of name changes but have gathered extensive experience along the way, practising in a variety of legal areas. SJP Law consists of two professional staff - solicitors Mark Shera and Christine Jones. Mark and Christine both live locally and combined have spent 35 years with SJP Law. Our solicitors are supported by experienced and dedicated paralegals, and a number of administrative staff who work to ensure that every client receives personalised and prompt service. Legal advice If you have ever needed legal services before, you'll know that legal terms can be complex and often confusing. The solicitors at SJP Law will cut through the legal jargon and provide you with legal advice in real terms. Initial appointments I know I need to see a solicitor, but who should I see? How do I know they are qualified? How much are they going to charge? Can I bring someone else with me to my appointment? Seeking initial legal advice can be a daunting prospect and you will probably have a few questions you want to ask. This initial meeting gives you time to meet with one of our solicitors, and discuss your legal issue in general terms and advise on what options are available. If you want to speak to a solicitor before making an appointment, just call us. We can't give you legal advice over the phone, but we can certainly introduce ourselves to you before you book your appointment. Mediation is the process in which an impartial third party, the mediator, assists two (or more) parties to resolve a dispute without the need to resort to legal proceedings. Christine Jones provides our mediation services and is a Nationally Accredited Mediator. She also spends time training and coaching new mediators at the Dispute Resolution Branch, Department of Justice & Attorney-General's Department of Queensland.
