Frequently Asked Questions
Are orthotic devices always hard?
Prescription orthotic devices are custom made to your foot and to your activity levels. Orthotics can be made out of a variety of materials that are carefully selected in the design process. Orthotics therefore can either be very soft and flexible, or have more thickness to create more support. This is based on your foot condition and level of control needed.
Are orthotics painful?
Prescription orthotic devices are not painful. As they are custom to your foot structure they should fit comfortably under your foot. If you do experience any rubbing or sore points under the foot, your Podiatrist will adjust the orthotic for you.
