Suncoast Cabs Ltd is currently the only holder of a Service Contract with the Queensland Dept of Transport and Main Roads for the Sunshine Coast Region. This area includes Noosa, Coolum, Maroochydore, Mooloolaba, Caloundra and Nambour. Suncoast Cabs utilises the latest technology in computer dispatch and phone systems. With MT Data powering the taxi despatch, and our Mitel and Icab telephone booking systems supporting the Call Centre, customers are given the best service possible. I just wanted to say thank you to the driver who came and picked me up tonight. He arrived quickly and he was wonderful and he really helped me out when I was stranded and had not a clue where to go. I was emotional and stressed and he took me to a safe place where I could wait until morning for my unexpected flight departure to Melbourne. I wanted to let everyone know how far and beyond that driver went for me and I will be eternally grateful.

Booked a taxi for 0545 Monday morning from Minyama to sunny coast Airport. Received a confirmation text on the Sunday evening. Cab didn't turn up and I then had to drive myself to the airport and park in long term parking at extra cost. Phoned three times - each time I was directed to an automated answering service. In a response to my complaint, they said 'if you told us u=you were going to the airport, we would have given you higher priority'. They lied. This is a company I do not recommend and will never deal with again - no wonder Uber is thriving.

I am 88 and in residential care and have to rely on cabs to get to appointments etc. and it doesn’t always work well. I don’t mind waiting up to an hour when the weather is good and I have a seat to sit on. On June 5th. I called a cab, there was a cool wind blowing and I had no seat to sit on. After waiting over 30 minutes I could not stand on my feet any longer and had to call on family, which I try to avoid and they were able to help me. When I booked that day the machine was unable to get my name, three times and I was put through to a human who immediately knew my name and address. I feel that I have completely lost my independence.

Poor service now on 2 occasions with wait time 50 mins today and 3 calls checking, just glad it wasn't a crucial appt to get to! Driver did come on first call but did not stop outside house ,we saw him drive by turn around and not even try to locate us Another occasion needed to get to GP and waited 15 mins gave up and walked!

Booked a 9.30 pm maxi taxi pickup Thursday night from Coolum to Noosa that didn’t show up after the driver telling us that he would be back at 9.30pm Rang operator to find out where taxi was - to be advised booking doesn’t guarantee a taxi. Why offer booking at at all or perhaps advise no show of taxi when accepting a booking. No communication from taxi company at all so luckily ended up catching the last public transport bus from Coolum.

Phoned Suncoast Cabs and booked a taxi. After 1.5 hr waiting and multiple phone enquiries as to where the taxi and how much longer, I was late for my appointment. Spoke with the Operations Manager and got fobbed off with the biggest load of rotten excuses; never once was there any sincerity in the response. Appalling service, appalling customer service. About time TMR ran an audit on them.

I ordered a cab for a fishing charter the night before confirmed a 5:50am pick up on 20th march at 6:05 I rang to be told that all their taxis were going to the airport and it will be about half an hour which is later than the start of our $320 tour when I inquired further the operator said I can not guarantee that it will come at all and I do not want to get your hopes up.I Cannot believe that a business can survive being so unprofessional if they had just said we can't do the trip the day before I would've understood very unhappy This is the first review I have ever done

Very disappointed...waited an hour and 20 minutes for a wheelchair taxi with my mum who is wheelchair bound, out the front of her nursing home..I kept ringing to see if the taxi was far away and just kept getting, still looking for a taxi for you...this was pre booked days ahead...my mum had been in locked down for quite some time and was so looking forward to going out for lunch...I was furious that I did not get one phone call to say at least sorry there’s going to be a long wait on your taxi today... I ended up not taking her out to lunch and then after an hour and a half sun coast cabs rang me to say your taxi is on its way it will be about 20 mins, I said don’t worry about it and cancelled...the operated apologised, but I think your system is terrible, making people wait that long without even ringing to explain why it’s taking ages

They do not care about there customers at all and have a extremely flawed booking system. On serval occasions I have booked a taxi to arrive at a specific time to take me to work. Booked the day before, a hour before it makes no difference. I was told no one was coming, they refused to come from Kawana to Pacific paradise, when it's a booked work car. What kind of service is that.
Hi Amy, unfortunately we are subject to what vehicles we have available at the booking time. Booking in advance does not necessarily guarantee the pickup time which is why we recommend booking for an earlier time to allow for delays. We do our best to work with what cars we have available but unfortunately we cant always get everyone picked up right on time. We apologise if this caused any issues for you.

Worst service ever. Booked a taxi 24 hours in advance for an event. We tracked the taxi as it was late. Our ride had been accepted so we knew it was coming so we weren't too worried even thoughwe were going to be late. 45mins after our pickup time was due the driver cancelled the pickup. Its was expected to be over $60 for our ride and ending in Alexandra Hedland so a decent trip I would have thought.
Hi Rachel, we would like to find out what went wrong here. Can you provide the date and your pickup address in an email to ccs@suncoastcabs.com.au so we can find out what happened. Unfortunately we are subject to availability, booking in advance doesn't necessarily guarantee the time of pickup. It all depends on what vehicles we have available at the requested time. However a driver cannot cancel someone's booking without good reason so we would like to know how this has happened. Thanks in advance if you could let us know.

This company is extremely unprofessional and provide no assistance to their clients despite the company being at fault. I booked a maxi taxi 4 days prior to the requested date. On the day of the booking I received a call stating that the taxi would be 15 minutes late. 10 minutes later I received another call stating I would be put through to a manger. This manager stated it would take another 30 minutes for the cab to arrive. I then a received a final call stating that they would be unable to send a maxi taxi as they were currently all on jobs. When voicing my disappointment, the company took no responsibility and said I should have been told that they could not guarantee bookings. They provided me with no appropriate solutions and said they could send 3 normal taxis to my location however I would be charged for all 3 bookings instead of one. If it were not for the excellent service provided by the Maleny Taxi service we would still be waiting for this cab to this day.
Hi Jamie, Sorry to hear about your experience. Unfortunately Suncoast Cabs does not actively service the Maleny area which is why there is a separate Maleny Taxi service. This should have been explained to you when you made the booking initially. Very unprofessional service provided by Suncoast Cabs. Our family had three bookings pre arranged over the Christmas period for our elderly grandmother, not one came. This resulted in her missing Christmas and spending it alone at an aged care home without family as she requires wheelchair transport. We didn’t receive a phone call advising of the cancelation, we were left waiting and had to contact them. Your service is poor and unorganised and as for your mission statement stating “You’re in safe hands”, I think not.

1 hour late every time. I booked 24h in advance a taxi for my client with disability two times the last two weeks, in both occasions the taxi company called after the pick-up time to inform the taxi will be 1 hour late. We just can't be this late as we have a routine. I even told that on the phone when I was booking. It's frustrating.

Was disappointed with the taxis service was in town for a 50th rang a taxis waited 1 and a hour still no taxis.. had to walk 1hour to get back to the motel where I was staying .. not happening Jan 😡

I booked twice online and called twice and no cab, a security guy asked me if I was ok, he said their was a cab around the corner having his lunch break, he said I’ll go tell him yr here at the taxi rank waiting! 3mins later Whalla!

Booked a wheelchair vehicle last Thursday for my 96 year old Mum to go to the denture clinic. Vehicle did not turn up. I rang four times over the 45 mins waiting time. First time I was told one was on the way. 2nd and third time I was cut off. Fourth time I cancelled it and got an Uber which came in 7 mins!. My Mum was very distressed because we had to use her wheelie walker instead which was so difficult for her. Fortunately the denture clinic was very obliging and saw her even though we were very late! As far as I’m concerned this is really bad business. Even if they rang me and said they were having trouble finding a vehicle for us I would have said send a standard vehicle but to leave us completely stranded is just not good enough.

Booked a cab from pelican waters resort to coloundra races,booked for 1 hours time,waited nearly an hour after they where due,rang and said they couldn’t supply one.this is why Uber is so much better, will never use them again

My son waited for 90 minutes for a wheelchair vehicle, He had been at the pool with therapist and we had booked the taxi. He was left dripping wet in a wheelchair in the hot sun. He has severe brain injury. You say you have 24 wheelchair vehicles, the driver gets $25 just for turning up. The worst worst upsetting experience.

This is the very reason why companies like 'Uber' will always succeed. This company displays nothing but poor service and an extremely underhand way of charging. We ordered a car to collect us and was quoted $15 for a small journey, no problem, so we went ahead and ordered it. Only to be told that the fare was $24.89! When we questioned it, the driver said the app didn't save the quoted fair and they couldn't honor it. When we took it up with the main office the following day, we were told the reason for the fare hike was due to us getting in the wrong taxi, this is despite the driver quoting my name!
